Memphiswest Music, LLC is a music production company that was founded in November, 2010 with the express purpose of producing musical events that feature artists primarily from the Americana, Blues and Roots genres. These three music genres reflect the passion that the founder of the company, Kyle Deibler, has had for many years.
Kyle grew up listening to a variety of musical genres but was drawn to the Blues after traveling to Austin, Texas several times for the South by Southwest Conference that was held in Austin annually. Inspired early on by the music of Jimmy LaFave, Doyle Bramhall Sr., The Fabulous Thunderbirds and others, Kyle pursued his passion for the music by becoming a member of the Phoenix Blues Society, and ultimately its President.
As the President of the Phoenix Blues Society Kyle was drawn to volunteer nationally to assist the Blues Foundation in Memphis with staging it's two major events, The International Blues Challenge and the Blues Music Awards. Years of volunteerism have sustained Kyle's passion for the music and the Blues Foundation has recognized him own two different occasions with its prestigious Keeping the Blues Alive Award for his numerous contributions to the genre.
Kyle brought his passion for music with him to Colorado where he is now the newly elected President of the Colorado Blues Society and maintains a number of responsibilities for its organization while also contributing to the founding and development of the Fort Collins Blues Society. He's expanding his responsibilities to the music on the Memphiswest side of things by producing several local events as well as the upcoming Women of the Blues benefit to generate funds for the National Women in Blues organization. As a Board Member of the NWIB, Kyle believes in and strongly supports the musical voice and passion of the female artists in the Blues, who clearly deserve more appreciation and consideration than they currently receive in the genre.
